Microsoft Office 2003  launched on October 21, 2003 For Windows.

Office 2003 only runs on NT-based versions of Windows; It is not compatible with Windows 98, Windows Me, or Windows NT 4.0. It is the latest version of Office is compatible with Windows 2000 and Office 2007 requires Windows XP or later. It is listed as "not compatible" with Windows 8 Windows 8 Compatibility Center Microsoft, although most users have claimed that it is supported.

Service Pack 1 for Office 2003 was released on July 27, 2004, the Service Pack 2 was released on September 27, 2005 and the Service Pack 3 was released on 17 September 2007. The latest cumulative update for Office 2003, Service SP3 solved several problems of compatibility and stability with Windows Vista and later operating systems. Mainstream Support for Office 2003 ended April 14, 2009 and extended support April 8, 2014, at the same time as Windows XP.
